We have received some fantastic recognition in being awarded the Mayor of Preston’s Coronavirus Pandemic City Hero Award.

The award recognises the impact that each and every one of us as representatives of RRR and the LUF have made during an incredibly difficult time for many of Preston’s most marginalised residents.

Dear RRR,

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that your organisation, Red Rose Recovery has been awarded the Mayor of Preston’s Coronavirus Pandemic City Hero Award. The pandemic has been an incredibly difficult time for many of our residents but during this time we have also witnessed the great things that we can achieve when we come together as a community. Time and time again, community organisations and individuals have gone above and beyond to support their community and have played a vital role in supporting people in need.

We know that it isn’t over yet, that the virus continues to circulate and we must all continue to do what we can to reduce the impact that it can have. However, Preston City Council is keen to ensure that community groups and individuals such as yours begin to receive the recognition you rightly deserve.
