I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to Dara and Red Rose Recovery for helping me to find myself again. When I first met Dara I was fresh out of hospital having attempted to end my life through misusing alcohol.
Even as I type this I can’t believe I was that person who wanted to end my life. Dara helped me to see that there is hope. She was part of a team of angels who made it possible for me to reconnect with the strong, purposeful woman that I’d lost sight of. Dara is one of those angels who walk amongst us and we don’t even know it until we need them and then the power of support was phenomenal.
I will be forever grateful and can now look forwards to the rest of my life and you never know, I may go on to support others through my lived experience.
