The East team recently hosted a Macmillan Cancer Support Day in Accrington, an event filled with community spirit and generous support. The day aimed to raise funds for both Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity providing vital help for people affected by cancer, and Red Rose Recovery, an organisation that supports individuals in recovery within the local community.

The event featured a variety of activities that brought people together for a great cause. Attendees enjoyed a BBQ, indulged in delicious treats at the cake stall, and participated in a raffle and tombola, making the day both enjoyable and impactful. The fun-filled activities encouraged donations and involvement from the local community.

Thanks to the tremendous effort of the organisers and the generosity of everyone who attended, an incredible £458.65 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. Additionally, £176.50 was collected for Red Rose Recovery East Groups, supporting their important work.

All left over food was donated to Thomas Rehab over in Blackburn who really enjoyed them.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed, attended, and made donations. Your support has made a significant difference in helping these two incredible organisations continue their valuable work.

Together, we’re making a positive impact!
