Salary:  £41,100 – £46,035 plus Commission Structure (Negotiable Dependent on Experience)

Job Summary:

Red Rose Recovery was established as a charity in 2012 and has become nationally recognised as a pioneering organisation in developing recovery systems and creating opportunities for people affected by multiple disadvantages.

As a Lived Experience Recovery Organisation, our staff’s personal and relatable experience provides inspiration and hope to people who are struggling to find a way forward. We work with a wide range of partner organisations in many different settings to build accessible and inclusive pathways for personal development and recovery.

The Head of Business Development is a new role in Red Rose Recovery’s Senior Management Structure and will be a pivotal role in the ongoing growth and sustainability of the charity. The role will focus on the diversification of income generation with a particular focus and expertise in bid-writing, fundraising and private sector investment.

The postholder will work closely with the Managing Director and other senior managers in identifying and leading on the development of all grant and commissioning opportunities, an annual fundraising calendar of activities, and the development of key private, statutory and third sector relationships with a key remit of transactional relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead on all aspects of Business Development by identifying opportunities for growth and sustainability in line with the values and strategic aims of the charity.
  • Identify and develop both grant funding and commissioning opportunities.
  • Develop an annual calendar of fundraising events.
  • Develop and manage relationships with businesses across the private, statutory and third sector, with a key remit of developing transactional relationships (CSR/ESG).
  • Identify and develop key sector award and recognition opportunities.
  • To lead on the diversification of new business development opportunities e.g. Housing.
  • To plan and manage own delegated workload on a day-to-day basis.
  • Liaise with external agencies as required.
  • Maintain an effective reporting system.
  • To remain up to date and compliant with mandatory training requirements.

 

General:

  • Always ensure health and safety compliance.
  • To always maintain confidentiality.
  • To adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
  • To establish and maintain a positive working relationship with service providers, commissioners, stakeholders, and other partner agencies.
  • To undertake training as identified via personal development planning process,
  • To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post.
  • The postholder must have a valid, full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle during working hours.

 

Vetting and Clearances:

  • The post holder is also expected to have Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Any changes that may affect DBS status may result in termination of post.
